Mayor Mufi Hannemann is the state's biggest sports fan. He understands the value of sports in people's lives from participating in youth sports to watching top level events like the Pro Bowl. That is why he has taken the lead when it comes to sports. As a former athlete, college competitor and coach, Mufi understands bringing together a team and working toward a common goal. This is why he has prioritized making parks available for youth leagues and making sure they are in top shape for competition. So many of our island residents use city facilities for basketball, softball, baseball, football and soccer leagues.

This is why Hawaii Sports for Mufi was formed. As athletes, coaches, administrators, event promoters and weekend warriors we all can appreciate what it takes to be a winner. Mufi knows how to motivate and get the job done for everyone as there is no "I" in team. We are proud to support the Mayor in everything he does because we know how much he cares for our people and he knows how much sports means to local families. From Little League Champions, to Olympic athletes, College Football players to the young kids who just love playing the game, the Mayor stands for them.
